Fluminense took the second position of the Guanabara Cup by defeating Bangu by 1-0, in a match played late on Wednesday in Edson Passos. The goal was scored by Gustavo Scarpa in confusing bid that included the participation of William of Bangu. The result made the Tricolor das Laranjeiras get the eight points earned and be closer to qualification for the next stage of the competition. The Beautiful Girl team follows in seventh place with only two points earned.
Fluminense did not repeat the good performance of the victory over Boavista, but earned enough to secure an important result.
